Apple Cake

Ingredients

  • 4-5 apples (peel and core)
  • 1 box of vanilla cake mix
  • ¾ cup of water
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ stick of softened butter

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°

Grease cake pan and flour lightly. Put 1 cup of cake mix in a medium size bowl and put the rest of the mix in a large bowl.

To the big bowl add the water, eggs, and oil, beat for 2 min.

In small bowl add; cinnamon, brown sugar, butter and press with a fork until crumbly.

Peel the apples, slice thinly and lay the apples in the bottom of the prepared pan.

Pour the cake batter over the top of the apples. Take the crumb topping and sprinkle on top of the cake batter.

Place in preheated oven for about 35-40 min until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
