Chicken Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded cooked breast meat
  • 1 medium size onion chopped
  • 4 celery ribs, washed and chopped
  • 1 cup of sliced carrots
  • 4-6 cups chicken broth (can also use water)
  • ½ box Orzo pasta
  • ½ tsp. cumin
  • ½ tsp. each garlic & onion powder
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

  1. In a large sauce pan, add chicken stock and bring to a boil
  2. Add onion, carrots and celery and bring back to a boil
  3. Cook vegetables for 20 minutes, then add pasta and stir
  4. Continue cooking at a low boil for an additional 10 minutes
  5. Add dry spices and chicken then lower heat and continue cooking on
    low for 10 more minutes
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning for taste and serve
