(Manny’s Favorite)
Ingredients
Pie
- 7 tart apples- Granny Smith’s Peal, core and slice
- ½ to ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 piecrust
Topping
- 1 stick of butter (softened to room temperature)
- ½ cup brown sugar- packed
- 1 cup flour
Directions
Preheat oven to bake 400°.
Spray pie plate with cooking spray and place piecrust into plate. Crimp edges of crust to make an even rim around the plate.
Using a fork, mix topping until small crumbs form and set aside.
Peel, core and slice apples and place into large mixing bowl. Toss apples with sugar and cinnamon to coat and place into uncooked piecrust.
Place a cut piece of paper bag underneath the pie plate to catch any spillage as the pie cooks.
Bake for 1 hour or until golden brown.
