Mozambique Sauce

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 head garlic, chopped
  • 1 tsp. white pepper &salt
  • 2 packets of Sazon
  • Seasoning, for fish
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 3 Tbsp. Frank hot sauce
  • Juice of 1 lemon or 3
  • Tbsp. Real Lemon juice
  • 1 can beer
  • ¼ cup parsley, chopped

Directions

  1. In a frying pan over medium heat add olive oil and 1/3 stick of butter
  2. When hot, add chopped garlic and saute for 2 minutes and add shrimp and dry ingredients. Add Shrimp, Scallops or chicken.
  3. Next add Red Hot and lemon juice and mix to coat
  4. Saute for 2 more minutes turning shrimp when cooked on one side, then add beer
  5. Cook until sauce begins to boil and pour into a covered serving dish
  6. Saute remaining batches and add to a covered dish. Top with parsley and serve.
